Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Screening ("we", "us") processes personal data when you buy a ticket, access a stream, or opt in to future Screening updates.

What we collect

• Ticket email — required to fulfil your purchase, send confirmation and reminders, and grant live access.
• Payment references — Stripe checkout and payment identifiers (we do not store full card numbers).
• Session / access data — playback session tokens and heartbeats so we can enforce one concurrent stream per ticket.
• Optional discovery opt-in — only if you explicitly tick the Screening updates checkbox at checkout.

Transactional vs discovery email

Ticket confirmation, reminders, access recovery, and event updates related to a screening you bought are transactional. They do not require a marketing opt-in.

Future screenings, films, and cultural events from Screening are sent only if you opt in. You can unsubscribe anytime. We do not add ticket buyers to discovery lists by default.

Sharing

We use processors such as Stripe (payments), our database host, and our email provider to operate the service. We do not sell your email. We do not share buyer emails with organisers for their own marketing unless a separate consent is introduced later.

Retention

We keep ticket and order records as needed for access, refunds, chargebacks, and legal compliance. Playback sessions are short-lived. Discovery opt-in records remain until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
